The Furniture Ministry provides essential household items to hundreds of homeless and underprivileged members of the Des Moines community. Partnering with the Furniture Ministry, Many Hands Thrift Market, is helping to provide these individuals and families with the basic necessities for their new homes. Giving from donations we receive, helps transform communities right in our backyard.
How it works
Individuals and families will donate their gently used furniture or
kitchen items to the Many Hands Thrift Market.
Homeless and underprivelidged people are identified by qualified organizations. When they are transitioning away from homelessness, they are put in touch with the Furniture Ministry.
Many Hands Thrift Market and the Furniture Ministry will deliver these household items to the individuals and families in their new housing.
What impact does this have?
Through this partnership, we hope to support the underprivelidged in the local community by providing them with the essentials they need to improve their quality of life.
Our vision is to transform together in our broken world. By helping to eliminate these needs for families and individuals, we hope to help build a stronger community and to share the love of Christ.
